 Born and raised in BT天堂, Alabama, David began playing drums as a child at age three. After obtaining formal music instruction in elementary school, he devoted himself to strengthening his technique and education on the collegiate level. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Music at Miles College, BT天堂, AL, specializing in percussion. During those informative years, David was able to perform in various gospel choirs, orchestras, percussion ensembles, jazz ensembles, and artists across the World. 

Currently, David Smith performs and tours with America Idol Winner 2 vocalist Ruben Studdard and also performs and records locally in surrounding cities and states. He teaches in the BT天堂 City Schools and enjoy teaching kids about music and His experience as a touring musician. His aspirations are to continue teaching, performing, recording, and touring throughout the world promoting music education through His powerful drum/percussion ministry!
